Abba I’ll Go

on

“And He saw there was no man, and was astonished that there was no intercessor: Therefore, His arm brought salvation to him and His acts of loving kindness sustained him.” (Isaiah 59:16 ONM)

God said that He knew us before we were formed in our mother’s womb (Jeremiah 1:5).   He knew man was going to fall before he was created and came into existence. He knew this fall would trickle down to every single birth after the initial sin in the garden “For our transgressions are multiplied before You, and our sins testify against us. For our transgressions are with us, and as for our iniquities, we know them. In transgressing and lying against the Lord, and turning away backward, and righteous falsehood from the heart. And justice is turned away backward, and righteousness stands afar off, for truth has fallen in the street and equity cannot enter. Yea, truth fails and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey. And the Lord saw it, and it displeased Him that there was no justice”( Isaiah 59:12-15 ONM).   The Omniscient, God, knew that we would need a Savior.  He sat on His throne and discussed it with the Trinity on how to redeem man back to Himself after the fall. The Son spoke up and said “Abba I’ll go and save them.”  The Father said, “You know this would require for you to go down and become as a man. You would have to be born as a baby”.  The Son replied “Father, You, love these people we are going to create so I’m willing to sacrifice for them” “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life” ( John 3:16).  So, the plan was laid out, the Son was going to the earth to save man. The virgin mother was chosen and the Holy Spirit was given His part to bring the Son to earth to be born “Behold a virgin shall be with child, and bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel, which, being interpreted, is God with us” (Matthew 1:23).

Thousands of years had passed and then came the time to implement the plan.   God sent the angel Gabriel to inform the virgin they had chosen in the beginning before creation  “And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary; for thou hast found favor with God. And behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son,  and shalt call his name Jesus. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David” (Luke 1:30-32).   Gabriel explained to Mary how the Holy Spirit was going to participate in the plan “And the angel answered, and said unto her, The Holy Spirit shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee; therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God” (Luke 1:35).  Everything was going as planned. In agreement with the plan, Mary humbled herself in the mighty hands of God, so all was set to go “But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God had sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore, thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ” (Galatians 4:4-7).

Finally, the day had arrived on the Feast of Tabernacle. The baby and Savior of the world was born “And the word became flesh and tabernacle among us. We looked upon His glory, the glory of the one and only from the Father of grace and truth” (John 1:14 TOLV).   Joy to the world the Lord has come!!

Jesus is now back in heaven sitting on the throne with His Father “He is the radiance of the glory and representation of His nature, and carries everything by the power of His word. After He made Himself purification for our sins, He sat at the right hand of the Majesty on high” (Hebrews 1:3 ONM).  The Father is now looking to us, His children, to continue with the redemption plan and preach the Good News to the world, “And I sought for a man among them who would make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before Me for the land, so that I would not destroy it, but I found no one” (Ezekiel 22:30 ONM).  We continue with the plan, with the help of Jesus, the Word, and the Holy Spirit who empowers us to carry it out, so that everyone can hear the Gospel.   The baby Jesus grew up into a man who carried out the well laid plan of love for all of us “Surely He has borne our sickness, our pains, He carried them, yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God and afflicted. But He was wounded because of our transgressions, bruised because of our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and we have been healed by His wounds” (Isaiah 53:4-5 ONM).    Just as Jesus was willing and obedient to the Father, let us have the same heart.  The Father had us too in the plan before creation “According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him, in love” (Ephesians 1:4).  When He makes the call, just as He did with Isaiah, let us be willing “Also I heard the voice of the Lord saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here I am! send me!” (Isaiah 6:8 ONM).  The voice of the Lord is still saying “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then we will say “Abba, here I am!  send me!”

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
