“But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell whatever He hears [from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him], and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future].” (John 16:13 AMPC)
Expo exhibitions are attended by many people looking for a job at a job fair or they are trying to expand their business. Both events are normally attended with the expectation of networking to get the perfect connection with the right people. If the right person could be met, they can get you to the ones in high places. Sometimes a friend of a friend of a friend makes that perfect connection to the friend in high places.
As Christians, the heart yearns to be closer and know the Father and Son more intimately. We pray and search trying to fill that urgency and don’t realize that we are overlooking for the one Person who can get us to the Persons in High places. Does the ineptness of this eludes you because you have not regarded the Holy Spirit as Holy and very much part of the Godhead? Is He only being regarded as a tongue just to give us the ability to speak in a heavenly language? Jesus explained to us before He left how essential the Holy Spirit was going to be to us, “But when the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby) comes, Whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth Who comes (proceeds) from the Father, He [Himself] will testify regarding Me” (John 15:26 AMPC). He is the One that will help you get to know Jesus. Even when Jesus was here on the earth He knew how important the work of the Holy Spirit was, “Then Jesus, full of and controlled by the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led in [by] the [Holy] Spirit” (Luke 4:1 AMPC).
The Holy Spirit will be the one who finally changes our mortal bodies for the final journey home to be with the Lord, “4 For while we are still in this tent, we groan under the burden and sigh deeply (weighed down, depressed, oppressed)—not that we want to put off the body (the clothing of the spirit), but rather that we would be further clothed, so that what is mortal (our dying body) may be swallowed up by life [after the resurrection].5 Now He Who has fashioned us [preparing and making us fit] for this very thing is God, Who also has given us the [Holy] Spirit as a guarantee [of the fulfillment of His promise]” (2 Corinthians 5:4-5 AMPC). So that we are not jumping up and down in frustration trying to get caught up and changed when it’s time, let’s start networking with the Friend (Holy Spirit) of a Friend of a Friend who really has connections in High Places.
