“And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her Offspring; He will bruise and tread your head underfoot, and you will lie in wait and bruise His heel.” (Genesis 3:15)
Long before Isaiah prophesied the birth of the Messiah by a virgin (Isaiah 7:14) and before Jesus identified who the baby daddy is of some people (John 8:44), God the Father prophesied the virgin birth, the Greek word for seed is sperma, so natural man was not involved with the seed of the woman, Genesis 3:15 identifies a spiritual genetic DNA. Long before Isaiah told of His birth, death, resurrection, and final authority of Kingship, this one passage in Genesis told the story including the outcome of the serpent before John did in Revelation.
When God asked Adam where he was after he had sinned, it had nothing to do with logistic. God is Omnipresent. When Adam sinned, he lost his spiritual DNA image of God so that it no longer imitated from him. The serpent (devil) began his conquest to stop the seed from being born. With the prophecy of the seed coming through Judah, it angered God that one of Judah’s son Onan wasted his seed so as not to impregnate his brother’s widow, (Genesis 38:8-9). Pharaoh and King Herod both killed babies attempting to stop the offspring, but to no avail. John the Baptist began identifying the devil’s offspring, “When he saw many Pharisees and Sadducees coming for this immersion he said to them [Offspring of vipers, who warned you to flee the coming wrath]” (Matthew 3:7)? We can see in John 8:44 that this satanic fatherhood cannot be limited to the Pharisees and Sadducees, “You belong to your father, Satan, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. From the start he was a murderer, and he has never stood by the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he tells a lie, he is speaking in character; because he is a liar — indeed, the inventor of the lie”! Not only did Jesus make it clear so did John, “[But] he who commits sin [who practices evildoing] is of the devil [takes his character from the evil one], for the devil has sinned (violated the divine law) from the beginning. The reason the Son of God was made manifest (visible) was to undo (destroy, loosen, and dissolve) the works the devil [has done]” (1John 3:8).
We can rejoice once we receive the new birth, “And if you belong to Christ [are in Him Who is Abraham’s Seed], then you are Abraham’s offspring and [spiritual] heirs according to promise” (Galatians 3:29). The Father now can see His image again and identify His offspring. Look at your spiritual birth certificate to see what name is listed as father. Who’s your daddy?
